Training on GPS equipment and their use, for the surveyors of the Cross Rivers State Geographical Information Agency (CRGIA) and the Department of Survey of the Ministry of Lands and Housing (MLH) commenced on 1st February 2012 until the 10th February 2012.
The venue for the training was the CRGIA Headquarters Complex, Calabar, Cross Rivers State, Nigeria. The training involved Introduction to and parts identification of GPS equipment, instruments set-up and maintenance, processing static observation and also RTK real time observation, data downloading and post processing procedures.
Training was also be carried out on the Trimble Business Centre Software. The TBC software is a powerful surveying application that is the perfect desktop complement to Trimble's full range of survey solutions for editing, processing, and adjusting data from all Trimble surveying instruments with efficiency and confidence.
