In a bid to streamline land-related processes and foster efficiency, the Lagos State Lands Bureau recently conducted a sensitization session for stakeholders on the utilization of the Land Administration e-GIS Portal. The event, held at the Lagos State Digitization and Automation Center in Alausa, Ikeja, aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge to leverage the portal effectively.
Mr. Kamar Olowoshago, the Permanent Secretary of the Lands Bureau, emphasized the bureau's commitment to expediting processes and applications through the portal. He announced the approval of dedicated bandwidth and uninterrupted power supply by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, ensuring seamless operations and timely responses to stakeholders' needs.
The innovative Land Administration e-GIS Portal, launched recently, stands as a testament to Lagos State's dedication to enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accessibility within the land administration system. Mr. Olowoshago highlighted its multifaceted benefits for property owners, government agencies, and stakeholders, underscoring its pivotal role in modernizing land administration practices.
Stakeholders were encouraged to utilize the customer chat box on the portal's website for inquiries, complaints, and suggestions. Mr. Olowoshago assured swift responses from dedicated bureau staff, further reinforcing the bureau's commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
During the session, the bureau's management and staff addressed various challenges encountered by stakeholders in utilizing the portal, providing practical solutions and guidance. Barrister Kunle Adeleke, representing the legal fraternity, lauded the state government for its forward-thinking approach in implementing the e-GIS portal.
